I've just registered Osprey 1335 and placed a reminder on the Osprey site asking competitors to register in advance. Janet Shenton, Osprey Class Association Secretary.

Just a quick thankyou for all the effort put in to organising the SGP at the weekend. It was a great fun event depsite the best efforts of the weather gods and the lack of boats to put a dampner on it.
Next year, everyone needs to drag kicking and screaming all their friends from club or class to make it as big as it it used to be.

I had the SGP in the diary since Jan but owing to family illness and other thigs it was getting more and more difficult to go - the nail in the coffin was the weather forecast - it is a long way to go from scotland to stand on the shore and chat when your conscience says you should have stayed at home in the first place.

However I think there was one other factor that led to us being less inclined to go and that was the lack of advertising and activiity on the Fastsail site and the media during the summer. At the end of August I even began to wonder if the event was going to happen at all.

For 2010 to get a crowd it would really benefit from selling hard, from April onwards..

I love this event! It took serious troubles to keep us away.
